They resemble animals we all know in our world, both real and myth, and come in all shapes and sizes. Though we know much, we are still learning about these beings, since kids from around the world thought that they were nothing more than toys with cards. You know the story, right? A scientist experiments in dimension travel, cards raining from the sky, the discovery that these monsters are as intelligent as us and the battle over 2 cores. This set a course for the future, where Bakugan nowadays play a big part in our lives. As friends, family and co-workers. What if I told you, that back in 2008.

Wasn't the first time Bakugan traveled our planet? In truth, 2008 was the first recorded appearance of these creatures.

Bakugan battle brawlers season 2

But the true meeting between Bakugan and human, happened over 5,000 years ago, in a time and place that still amazes us to this day. The land of Egypt.

In this land of sand and triangular buildings, kings known as Pharaohs ruled over this land. Despite that they had no modern technology or air-conditioners, they were highly intelligent, some would argue smarter than we are today. But that's another story, lets focus on why you truly came to this page, shall we? In 5,000 B.C., there was a young prince who lived in the royal palace alongside his father, the king of that time. His son was to learn how to rule as a true Pharaoh: command slaves, order tasks, have many ladies dancing around him and such. But he was a kind lad, who made friends from royals and servants, to villagers and peasants.

He was also very curious about everyone and everything; like how/why his father flooded the Nile River at different times instead of on the same day each year, or why some parts of the palace were off-limits. Even to the prince himself! The prince obeyed his father to the best of his ability, but their was one passageway in particular that caught his curious gaze. A pair of guards would often be placed by the Pharaoh to guard a wall that didn't seem too important, other than the fact it had hieroglyphics. They would complain much on why they had to guard 'some wall', but they were paid a good price so they didn't question it. While the prince was exploring like he did everyday, he tripped on a crack in the floor and braced a hand on that wall to prevent his face from damage (the guards must have been on break, no-one really knows).

In doing so, a shape on the wall was slightly pushed into the wall itself. Upon inspecting it, he realized that this image didn't match any of the hieroglyphics he learned in his lessons.

Instead of a cat, dog, human, human with a dog head, human with a cat head, bird, etc.; this particular picture appeared to be a lizard standing on 2 legs with a pair of wings where its forelegs should be. It was so small that he had to squint in order to make it out clearly. Suddenly, it fell behind the wall and caused a chain reaction. Bricks moved slowly behind one another, kinda how the wall to 'Diagon Alley' from 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone' opened, revealing a secret passageway. Going down the stairs of this hidden entrance; the prince found a strange, dark room.

It looked like a throne room just like the one inside the palace, but it was dusty with cobwebs all around. Their was also this large, odd-looking symbol in the middle of the floor. It was the shape of a hexagon, with strange markings. Though he was able to figure out that one of the marks was fire, the other five were a mystery, a mystery he intended to solve. Keeping this a secret even from his family and friends, he would venture to this room whenever the guards were not present, studying everything about this room and its images.

He soon found out that the markings on the floor, were the elements of: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light and Dark. But that was all he could figure out on his own. To learn more, he accessed records from the palace library, but their was nothing about the room or any of its mysterious past. Taking a big risk, he asked his father about the image of the lizard he saw, including that he went inside it. The Pharaoh was angry with his son for disobeying him, but he told him that the room wasn't for childrens' eyes, and too never go down there again. As children often do, they continue to do what they want. The prince continued to journey to the secret room, hoping to find more answers without his father.

He invited friends down with him to continue exploring, keeping it their own little secret. One of his friends accidentally knocked down another friend into a shelf, causing a large and even dustier (if that was possible) book from atop of a shelf to fall off. Cleaning the cover with his robe, the prince attempted to read the title, but like with the wall, the strange hieroglyphics were on/in this book as well. They all turned to leave, but were faced by the angry Pharaoh and some guards. They immediately grabbed each child by the hair or robe, with the Pharaoh himself grabbing his son. In the struggle, the prince dropped the book as they were all escorted out.

No-one noticed the faint glow of the large symbol on the floor. As you'd expect, the prince and his friends were punished, and the wall was now guarded 24/7. Preventing the young soon-to-be king from completing his research.

But he wasn't going to give up so easily, and came up with a new plan. Because of the long hours the guards would be posted there, he would often bring them water and food, earning their trust. He even went to the armory where they would change in/out of armor, and placed a big urn of water there, they were grateful. In return, they would often let him inside the wall before his father came by, making his rounds to make sure the guards were where they were supposed to be.

Been by here' the Pharaoh would ask and they would lie right to his face. This arrangement was working like a charm, the prince can continue his research without his fathers knowledge, though he always felt someone was watching him in that room of wonders. One day, he was still attempting to decipher the big book, when he heard a book fall from the same shelf. He looked up and saw something that wasn't there before. It appeared to be a red ball, a fun toy, but out-of-place as of this room. He attempted to grab it, but it rolled off onto the floor.

He tried again, and it rolled away once more. Like a game of 'Cat and Mouse', he chased it all around the room until he leaped forward and cupped the ball in his hands. Then for some reason, he felt jabs from within his hands. They weren't painful, but it surprised him. Opening his hands, he saw what was once the ball, turned action figure.

He jumped back in shock, as the 'ball' floated away and hid behind the throne. 'Hey, it's ok. You just scared me. Come on out, I'm not gonna hurt you' said the prince, feeling weird talking to a toy. It was no good, whatever that was, it wasn't gonna come out. 'Hey kid, your fathers coming soon, better scram!' Said one of the guards, leaving the prince no choice but to leave for now.

They didn't know it yet, but that boys and that 'balls' lives would be changed. Possibly more to be added.
